Once Upon an Ocean was formed by Miss Mia, an ambitious young woman with a big heart. Her mission? Provide better beach access to those with disabilities.
As someone with a love for all things outdoors, its no surprise that the sand and sea calls her name. Naturally, growing up in sunny Florida provides a seemingly endless coastline to explore. However, over the years, it has become more and more apparent that beach access isn't always the friendliest to those with physical impairments, and beach access mats can become costly.
According to the US Department of Justice's 2010 ADA update, more than 55 millions Americans are inflicted by disabilities. Being a matter that hits close to home, Mia is taking matters into her own hands...literally! In an effort to raise both awareness and funding, she hand paints both new and salvaged items, and then offers them for a set donation. Monies raised will be put towards providing affordable beach mats to both coastal and inland municipalities.
Proceeds go towards funding projects categorized under Once upon an Ocean.
All donations are 100% tax deductible as allowed by law.
